Leicester have recalled midfielder Harvey Barnes from his loan spell at West Brom, the clubs confirmed on Friday.
The England U21 international, who scored nine goals in 26 Sky Bet Championship games for Albion, will now return to the King Power Stadium with immediate effect.
Barnes came through the ranks of Leicester’s academy and signed a new four-year contract with the Foxes before joining the Baggies on loan in the summer.
Subject to Premier League approval, the 21-year-old will be eligible for Leicester’s game against Southampton on Saturday.
Albion boss Darren Moore said: “We’re obviously very disappointed to see Harvey go as he has clearly played an important role for the team over the first half of this season.
“He has been a pleasure to work with and a popular figure within the club. We are proud to have played a role in his development and we have nothing but good wishes for him in his future career.
“Harvey grasped his opportunity and I am now confident that some of the many talented young players here will follow his example.”
