Lincoln’s Ellis Chapman could miss out against Carlisle because of suspension following his controversial red card against Cambridge on Saturday.

Manager Danny Cowley was waiting to hear the outcome of an appeal against the red card which could see Chapman suspended for three games.

Injured left-back Sam Habergham made a breakthrough in terms of his recovery on Monday and could return to full training soon. The Imps drew against Cambridge following Chapman’s dismissal and will want to bounce back against Carlisle.

The Cumbrians are set to be without centre back Tom Parkes after he went off injured in the defeat to Macclesfield. Defender Parkes hobbled off in the first half, causing more selection problems for manager John Sheridan.

Parkes joins an extensive injury list which includes striker Hallam Hope and defender Gary Liddle, who missed the previous game through injury. Carlisle will be looking to bounce back against Lincoln from their 2-1 loss to bottom side Macclesfield.
