A scorned wife assaulted her husband’s mistress and circulated a ‘revenge porn’ photo of the woman when she found out they had a child together.

Furious Janet Liedtke, 57, reacted ‘out of character’ when she learnt her dentist husband Michael was having a long-term affair with Dr Sintija Priede, who he worked with at Chapel Dental, Cornwall, after she joined the practice six years ago.

Liedtke received a police caution and was banned from contacting her husband’s mistress, Truro Magistrates’ Court heard today.

She was also given a restraining order for 12 months, banning her from going to Dr Priede’s home address or place of work.

The defendant saw red after learning about her spouse’s long time affair, Truro magistrates’ court heard.

The prosecution say she responded by attacking her love rival and sending a sexual photo of the woman to a prospective employer of her husband.

Liedtke, of Truro, Cornwall, appeared in court today on charges of assault and disclosing sexual photos without consent, an act often referred to as ‘revenge porn’.

Both charges were dropped by prosecutor Anita Kennett on the basis Liedtke accepts a police caution for the assault, and a restraining order banning her from contacting the victim, also a dentist, in relation to the other alleged offence.

Ms Kennett said: ‘For a short time, she acted out of character and sent a photo of the woman to a prospective employer of her husband.’

Ms Kennett said the charge relating to the photo disclosure would be dismissed, providing the court imposed a restraining order.

The court duly obliged, banning Liedtke from contacting the woman directly or indirectly.

She must also not go to the woman’s home address in Truro or her dental practice in Camborne. The order will last for a period of 12 months.

For the assault, which happened on October 2 last year, Liedtke was given a police caution.

The chairman of the magistrates’ bench told Liedtke: ‘I’m glad everybody has taken a pragmatic approach in this matter. This is in the past, you are moving forward with your life, I will warn you a breach of a restraining order is a serious offence.

‘Cornwall is a small place. If you bump into her, I suggest you walk the other way for a few minutes.’
